Do you think that a minor should get parental notification in order to get an abortion?

I personally think a minor should have to notify their parents before they get an abortion. Teenagers do not realize that they are killing their child that may in the future may give them happiness. They will regret killing their child and have a horrible guilty consious of what that child could have been. By notifing a parent, the child will have a second opinion. Parents can help them decide what is best and if it comes dowm to an abortion, parents can help the minor though this difficult time in their life.
As a father of two daughters, I think parents should be notified before any medical procedure is performed on a minor. I think the baby's father, even if he is also a minor,should also be contacted and have a voice.
I am also dissappointed that the California Teachers Association, to which I belong, is opposing Proposition 4.

Sharing your problems with your parents is somewhat difficult, yet I strongly believe that parents should be notified. I believe that if you have the nerve and courage to have sex then you should have the nerve and courage to tell your parents and take care of your baby. Girls should have to tell their parents because parents do know better and they will just make the transition from teenager to mother a lot easier.
Personally, I'm for Prop. 4. I believe that minors should have to notify their parents before they get an abortion. Giving girls the right to recieve an abortion without parental consent allows them to blow off responsibility, no questions asked. To me, that isn't right to exterminate an innocent life just because you weren't ready to take responsibility for your actions.
I agree that minors should tell their parents because parents have the right to know what their minor is doing even if its bad or good. parents have the right.
I think there shouldn't be any abortion allowed, but in this case it's not an option. So i think a minor should notify her parents before the abortion, and maybe her parents can make her change her mind.
I believe that a minor should tell their parents before getting an abortion. The parents can help the minor through the difficult times. What if the procedure went wrong and the parents does not know how or why? Telling the parents would definitely be a smart choice. I am actually against abortion because the minor is just killing an innocent human being that does deserve to live and to decide for itself someday.
Personally, I agree with proposition 4 that a parent or guardian should be notified prior to the abortion. However, I don't believe the father should be able to determine the outcome of the infant and if the female should have it or not. I agree that the father matters in the decision, but the mother should have the final say-so because after all, it is HER body.The parents can help make the final decision, but I don't believe they should be able to stop the minor from aborting or having the child. Overall, proposition 4 is a good idea and I'm deeply glad it has been passed.

I think that if a girl is old enough to decide she is ready to have sex, then gets pregnant, and has an abortion, then she is also old enough to either tell or not tell her parents. I also believe that the father and the father's parents should be notified as well. He did do half of the work after all.
